Mini Splits

Mini splits. Zone-by-zone comfort, no ductwork required.

If you have an addition, an ADU, a converted garage, or a room that never reaches setpoint, a ductless mini split is almost always the right answer. We install single-zone and multi-zone systems from Mitsubishi, Daikin, LG, and Fujitsu across San Diego County.

What do homeowners ask about Mini Splits?

How loud are mini splits?

Indoor heads run 19 to 30 dB on low — quieter than a whisper. Outdoor condensers are 45 to 55 dB, similar to a modern refrigerator. Night setback keeps bedroom zones especially quiet.

Which brand is best?

Mitsubishi Electric and Daikin lead on reliability and parts availability in the U.S. LG and Fujitsu are also strong. The right pick depends on your zone count, budget, and whether you need hyper-heat performance. We're brand-neutral — we'll recommend based on your situation, not a vendor bonus.

Do mini splits heat as well as cool?

Yes, all modern mini splits are heat pumps that cool and heat. In San Diego's mild climate, heat performance is excellent year-round — you will not need backup heat for a well-sized system.

Can I install a mini split myself?

DIY kits exist, but refrigerant handling is EPA-regulated, a bad flare will leak and fail within a year, and warranty coverage is forfeited without licensed install. We'd rather not fix a bad DIY install — we'd rather install it right the first time.

Homeowners who hired us for this

Called at 9 a.m. when our AC quit during a heat wave. They had a tech at the house by 1 p.m., diagnosed a bad capacitor, and had cool air back on before dinner. Clear price up front, no upsell.

Melissa R. AC Repair · Carlsbad

Got three quotes for a full replacement. Climate Pros ran the only proper load calc and picked a smaller unit than the other guys. System runs quieter and my summer bill dropped. Exactly what I was hoping for.

David K. New System Install · El Cajon

They walked me through the federal rebate, handled all the paperwork, and installed a heat pump that handles both our foggy mornings and warm afternoons. No more gas bill. Install was clean, crew was on time every day.
