Cleaner indoor air. Fewer triggers. Less dust on the coffee table.
Indoor air in San Diego has specific challenges: wildfire smoke in late summer, coastal humidity year-round, dust from East County and Santa Ana winds. We install media filter cabinets, MERV 13+ systems, UV-C lights, HEPA bypass filtration, whole-home dehumidifiers, and humidifiers for dry inland zones.
What's included in this service?
- Media filter cabinet install (4-inch MERV 11, 13, 16)
- UV-C germicidal light install on the evaporator coil

What do homeowners ask about Air Quality?
What MERV rating should I use?
MERV 11 is the minimum that actually catches meaningful fine particulate. MERV 13 is the sweet spot for allergens, pet dander, and wildfire smoke. MERV 16 filters in a proper 4-inch cabinet are excellent, but a 1-inch MERV 16 in a standard slot usually chokes airflow. Always pair high-MERV with adequate filter area.
Do UV lights really work?
For coil mold and airborne pathogens in the air handler, yes — UV-C directly on the coil is proven. For whole-home sterilization of breathable air, the evidence is weaker. We recommend UV-C on the coil, not as a standalone air purifier.
What's the best filtration for wildfire smoke?
MERV 13 or higher in a proper 4-inch cabinet, plus carbon for odor. Standalone HEPA portable units are good for individual rooms. In a bad smoke event, seal the home, run HVAC on recirculate with a fresh MERV 13 filter, and add HEPA portables in sleeping areas.

Homeowners who hired us for this
Called at 9 a.m. when our AC quit during a heat wave. They had a tech at the house by 1 p.m., diagnosed a bad capacitor, and had cool air back on before dinner. Clear price up front, no upsell.
Got three quotes for a full replacement. Climate Pros ran the only proper load calc and picked a smaller unit than the other guys. System runs quieter and my summer bill dropped. Exactly what I was hoping for.
They walked me through the federal rebate, handled all the paperwork, and installed a heat pump that handles both our foggy mornings and warm afternoons. No more gas bill. Install was clean, crew was on time every day.
