East County July and August normals sit in the mid to high 80s, with heat waves running well above those normals. Confirm the thermostat is in cooling mode with a setpoint below room temperature, inspect the filter, note any ice or water, and check the breaker once. Do not keep resetting a breaker. Shut the system off if there is smoke, a burning odor, sparking, damaged wiring, or water near electrical parts.
Note whether the outdoor fan spins, whether the indoor blower runs, ice on the lines, a humming condenser that will not start, or a loud knock. Stay clear of the electrical panel if you smell burning. Climate Pros SD refers that description to a local company, which confirms diagnosis, parts, and timing. We do not promise same-day condenser repair.
